IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE NEW, BETTER FINS ?

Most of fins considered good were made far before divers started to use them as they do today.

25 years ago back kick was still to be discovered and divers were using their arms for manoeuvring…

What if … knowing what are the today’s diver demands for fins we re-think the construction of fins and make a new better one combining all the best features?

This question was the main inspiration to create TecLine POWER JET fins.

During last 12 years I’ve asked about 1500 divers what was the reason they choose specific type of fins. I watched them in water during workshops, trying to achieve the best swimming technique they could. The fins where not always what we call support.

Most divers seem to choose their fins due to the shoe size and shape. The more they fit to the shoe size – the better.
Other features are not exactly a key point of interest.  Is that really enough?

I watched the swimming techniques workshops videos that I’ve made over last 10 years. I’ve compared if and how the precision of the technique depends on the kind of fins or boots used by a diver.

It is only the beginning but I have already come to same interesting conclusions…

5 FEATURES THAT MAKE POWER JET FINS OUTSTANDING:

The blade is set at an angle of 164 to the foot pocket. That helps to swim very close to the bottom without disturbing any silt under a diver.

Long blades make modified techniques (frog or flutter kick) more effective
– especially over long distances.

Swimming backwards and manoeuvring is now much easier to learn and fine-tune with less effort.

Adapted to all common types of dive-boots: FLEX-SOLES, ROCK-BOOTS, classical RUBBER BOOTS or even WETSUIT NEOPRENE BOOTS. The fin becomes one with your foot!
